Vlad holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London and Master of Laws degree from the University of Auckland. Vlad brings 16 years of experience in the Middle East, United Kingdom and New Zealand, with a focus on VAT and indirect taxes.

Having moved to the UAE in 2016 to join Deloitte UAE, Vlad has been closely involved in advising a number of GCC governments on the implementation of the indirect tax reforms in the region – including tax policy decisions, legislative drafting, and procedural, financial, and technological impacts of the reforms.

Furthermore, Vlad has been consulting and guiding large local and international businesses from a variety of industries on their VAT management, optimisation, compliance, advising on M&A transactions and tax structuring, and helping clients in their interactions with tax authorities.

Prior to moving to the Middle East, Vlad was working with Deloitte in the United Kingdom and New Zealand and was a Senior Tax Advisor to New Zealand Revenue Department, advising on both indirect tax and corporate income tax matters.
