Krishan Malhotra is a versatile tax professional with dual qualifications of a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Lawyer. Over 30 years, he has myriad complex tax engagements to his credit, with a wide expertise in areas like Direct Tax (Domestic and International), Cross Border Taxation, Alternate Transfer pricing, and re-organizations.

Krishan have been consistently recognised as a “Highly Regarded“ tax practioners in ITR’s World Tax Guide & as a “Tax Leading Advisor” in the ITR Expert Guide.

He has advised companies on issues pertaining to Joint Venture/Collaboration Agreements from Tax, FEMA and FIPB perspective. He has also worked closely with Ministry of Finance (Central Board of Direct Taxes) and Ministry of Commerce in formulating and rationalizing Government’s policies on foreign investments into India and simplification of tax laws. He has been extensively involved in defending the clients across various stages of tax disputes and successfully closed many mutual agreements under double taxation treaties.

He is an active member of various industry chambers including Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), FICCI and the PHD Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to joining Dhruva, Krishan was the National Tax Head of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM). He was associated with KPMG as its Tax Head of North India, PwC as a senior partner, and RSM as one of its promoter partners.
